This is the trunk of a BMW
M3 convertable. The Subwoofers are 10 inch
Diamond D6 dual 4 ohm voice coil, mounted inverted
in custom made fiberglass cabinets, Angled so they would fit in the
trunk without interfierince to the convertable top. The
center rack is two Memphis 500 watt amps in a custom rack, one amp
per subwoofer. The photo in the middle, shows the amp
rack without it's cover on. The rack was designed and built
by Dan Bowen. The rack is covered in MicroFiber to match the
interior. The system is hooked up to the factory radio. Work
by: Dan Bowen, Steve creamer, Joe Kozel & Jon Becker. The seats, amp rack & sub cabinet covering was
performed by Willow Grove Auto Top in Willow Grove, Pa.
Labor by Will Winder. (Thanks Will , good job!) |
The photos at the bottom show an AMG Mercedes G 55
Wagon. We installed navigation,video,
amplifiers, custom subwoofer cabinets, rear deck to hide 2nd
batery, 2 amps, crossovers for door speakers, navigation unit,
battery isolaters, fuses and relays. The truck ROCKED!. It took 7 days to complete. Alpine radio & navigation,
Diamond seperates in doors, Soundstream and Memphis amps, Alpine
Subs and a lot of fiberglass and MDF. Work by Dan Bowen, Steve Creamer, Joe Kozel & Jon Becker. |
Photos below are of a Pt
Cruiser owned by Dave Brown. Dan Bowen &
Steve Creamer installed 7 video monitors in the Pt Cruiser. 1
overhead, 1 in each "Lambo style" door (angled so that they are
level when the door is open), 2 headrest monitors, one lower
console monitor, and one monitor on the rear hatch, installed into
the housing of the 3rd brake light. When you open the trunk the
monitor is at the top of the car. Look closely at the photos
and you will see all the monitors are on. this job took 3
days of uniterupted work. The rear of the car has a custom built subwoofer box and amp
rack. The box has 4 Memphis 15-PR124D subs, with one sub inverted,
and 2 memphis amps, a 16MCD1000 for the subs, and a 16MCA2004 for
the mids and highs. The box & amp rack took 3 weeks
to complete. the box is 4 seperate enclosures, and hidden
compartment for the Aluma Pro 5 farad carbon capacitor with
distribution block. NEW information.....since we wrote this page, there have been
many more changes to Dave Browns PT Cruiser. His PT is the
only vehicle in the North American Hemisphere with a 10.5 inch
monitor built into the steering wheel. Steve Creamer and Dan
Bowen, with a little help form Jon Becker, worked tirelessly
for 3 weeks to make it happen. This feature has made the PT a
Show stopper and Trophie winner every where it goes. Dave Brown has
won over 28 trophies for first place or best of show....and a few
more are on the way ! Please see the slide show of the PT under construction. (again
!) We promise you that after the winter teardown and rebuild,
Dave's PT will be BIGGER & LOUDER then before, as for
video....some big surprises are comming. |
Three pieces of wood are laid on floor to lift
box to runk level. Notice the tape on sides of interior to mark out
placement of box. |
This is the basic form of the box,all three subs
are one cabinet, 3/4 inch MDFheld with nails and heavy glue just
for MDF. |
The basic cabinet is finished and has a triangular space that is the necessary qubic space for the top sub. the top plate has not been installed yet. |
the box is coverd with tape and plastic sheeting to protect the MDF from being stuck to the fiberglass that will overlay the box and blend into the side panels of the cruiser. More tape was added to completely cover the plastic and box. |
